We’re massively proud to announce our exciting new partnership between OsecoElfab and our charity. OsecoElfab have chosen to adopt our charity for a year. They have been getting their staff teams involved in a range of activities and initiatives to fundraise to help make life better for children with cancer.

About OsecoElfab

OsecoElfab is a leading global provider of pressure relief solutions, headquartered in North Shields in the UK and in Broken Arrow in the USA. The company’s purpose is ‘Protecting life. Solutions for a safer, cleaner world.’ Following this purpose, OsecoElfab manufactures industrial safety devices, including rupture discs and explosion vents. These products are used in industrial processes that operate under pressure. They protect people, plant and the environment from injury and damage should the pressures rise to dangerous levels. OsecoElfab is part of the Halma Group, a FTSE 100 company with over 50 subsidiaries worldwide.

Why choose to adopt our charity?

We spoke to Rachel Coates, Global Manager at OsecoElfab about what made them choose us as their charity adoption, she told us:

“Our employees decided that they would like to support a charity local to our site based in North Shields. Nominations were put forward and our employees voted for the charity they would like to support and fundraise for. Children’s Cancer North was voted for and adopted as our chosen charity and we began fundraising in December 2022, we will continue to support Children’s Cancer North throughout 2023. Some of our employees have had a direct link to Children’s Cancer North and others simply wanted to give back to a charity that makes a difference in our local community and helps to make life better for children with cancer.”

Fundraising for Children’s Cancer North

Since our charity adoption, OsecoElfab have been busy starting their fundraising efforts. Rachel told us about what they’ve been up to:

“Our fundraising efforts started with an official launch day in December. We invited Emma (Children’s Cancer North Corporate Partnership Coordinator) on site to meet our team, Emma shared with our employees how fundraising can help children and their families in treatment, and life-saving childhood cancer research. In addition, we’ve held a bake sale, a World Cup Sweepstake and a company golf event. Our employees also donated Christmas gifts to the Children and young people’s cancer wards at the Great North Children’s Hospital, which were shared with the children and young people over the Christmas period. We’re also excited for Children’s Cancer Run in May – a team of runners from OsecoElfab will take part in the 40th Anniversary fun run!

Thank you OsecoElfab!

We can’t thank this wonderful organisation enough for working towards our mission – helping to make life better for children with cancer. Our partnership so far has seen OsecoElfab get stuck in with their fundraising and childhood cancer awareness raising efforts. We can’t wait to see what the rest of 2023 brings, and we’ll keep you updated.

A lovely final word from Rachel:

“Working together with Children’s Cancer North is very close to my heart, it’s wonderful to see our employees connecting with the local community and embracing our new partnership.”
