Your basket

One of the most powerful ways we can tell people about the work we do at Children’s Cancer North – and encourage them to support the charity – is by sharing your stories.

We need your help

To help deliver our charity’s mission and encourage other people to fundraise and donate for Children’s Cancer North, we’re asking for your support to help create our new charity video. This short film will tell people what Children’s Cancer North does, the positive impact our work has on the families we support, and its wider impact in treating childhood cancers.

Help share our story with others

Using your words, we want to encourage other people to join our family of supporters and help deliver our mission to make life better for children with cancer.

We’re looking for parents/children/young people who have benefited from our support and funding to appear in the video. It’s an opportunity for you to share your personal experience of Children’s Cancer North, and how working with our charity makes you feel.

There are lots of activities, experiences, and work we fund that you may want to talk about, including:

Activities on the wards:
Music therapy Animation therapy (Tom Madge)
Kalma Life Yoga
Wiggly Ts
Arts and crafts materials on the ward.

Activity away from the wards:
Center Parcs breaks
iCanMove Family Activity Day
Children’s Cancer Run
Christmas parties Teen socials.

Additional support and funding projects:
Parent packs
Financial support for families
Bereavement fund for families
Early-phase clinical trials
Funding for research programmes.

How to get involved

If you and your family would like to take part in the filming of our new charity video, please email emma@childrenscancernorth.org.uk.

You are the reason Children’s Cancer North exists. We would love for you to help tell our story, and encourage others to make life better for children with cancer in the North East and Cumbria.
