Please note that the support outlined on this page applies to families with a child in treatment at the Great North Children’s Hospital only. Some funds are given at the discretion of the review panel. Patients receiving treatment for childhood cancer elsewhere are not eligible for support provided by Children’s Cancer North.
This fund is to support families who have extensive travel and accommodation costs, to ensure that they can be there for their child’s treatment during the toughest of times. Applications are considered on a case by case basis.

When a child or young person dies as a consequence of cancer, our £2,000 bereavement fund can help to cover the costs of the funeral or commemoration.
