Set up a JustGiving page – visit www.justgiving.com to set up your personalised on-line fundraising page.
Customise your fundraising page and let people know why you’ve chosen to support our cause, add a photo to your page, or share updates of how your training/activity is going so your supporters feel more connected.

Try to make sure your first sponsor donation is a larger amount, others tend to follow suit!
Online is not the only way! If you decide to download a paper copy of our sponsorship form (click here to download) and print it out, make sure you take it with you everywhere you go – and ask everyone you know (and some you don’t!) to sponsor you. You can then pay this in to us at the end on our website here.
Encourage all eligible sponsors (UK tax payers) to tick the column confirming that they wish to “Gift Aid” their donation and complete their details in full (postcode essential) – this allows us to claim an extra 25% on their donation from the Government without any extra charge to them.
Share, share share! Share your JustGiving page and regular updates through your social media and ask friends and family to share your updates too!
If you have an interesting story about why you are raising funds for Children’s Cancer North please share it with us, we would love to hear more about why you have chosen to support our cause.
Insert a ‘signature’ at the bottom of your emails making reference to your JustGiving page so people can follow the link and sponsor you straight away.
Lots of employers will match-fund charity donations raised by an employee, so it’s worth seeing if yours is one of them and make your fundraising go further!
Consider whether you have access to any free advertising space in which to promote your fundraising e.g. a company newsletter, intranet, website or professional publication.

Keep updating your JustGiving page with photos or messages, it’s a great excuse to re-share the link with everyone.
Follow and tag us on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and Bluesky, we love to see what our fundraisers are up to and updates on their activities! You can also share your activities with us and other Children’s Cancer North supporters via our Community Wall.
Thank your donors via social media. People really appreciate this and it helps inspire others to share your story with their followers too, boosting the pool of people who may donate to your fundraiser.
