Something we think is really important at Children’s Cancer North is creating positive, enjoyable experiences for children, young people, and their families, going through cancer treatment.
It can be an incredibly difficult and stressful time for everyone, so giving families the opportunity to make happy memories together is a really important part of their cancer journey.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who fundraises for us, and the support of a donor who wishes to remain private, we are now able to offer families affected by childhood cancer the gift of a holiday.
The midweek or weekend breaks at Center Parcs in Whinfell, Cumbria, are a chance for families to relax, unwind, and spend time together in a location that feels a million miles from wards 4 and 14 at the Great North Children’s Hospital.
